Using cartoons to teach critical thinking at low level grades
Problem
1:
A green mantis is
the 3rd from
the left of the line, and 5th from
the right of the line. How many mantises are there
in line?

The
critical thinking is about the relationship of the position of
the green mantis, the ordinal numbers and the number of the
mantises.
After students watch the cartoon, they will have a
better understanding of the relationship between the position of the
green mantis and the number of the mantises.
