American Math Publishing has spent many years
developing its series of math books, including "Explore the Secrets of Math" and
"Explore the Secrets of Mental Math". All of the book series developed by
American Math Publishing are designed to address children's math needs and
improve their math skills, in a fun, engaging and easy-to-learn way.
The author of "Explore the Secrets of Mental Math" spent five years developing
and testing our Mental Math methods and then writing the book series. In
"Explore the Secrets of Mental Math", children not only learn mental math (how
to rapidly add and subtract numbers in their heads), but they also develop both
sides of their brain, and improve coordination of their visual, auditory, and
kinesthetic (touch) senses.
The series "Explore the Secrets of Math" is designed to meet each child's math
needs at their level. The six levels in the series (Levels K and 1-5) teach such
concepts as fractions, decimals, sets, and geometry, with problems and graphics
appropriate to each level. Each book features challenging "Critical Thinking"
exercises that cause the learner to use the math concepts in real-world
situations. Each book has problems to challenge math students at every level of
achievement.
In three additional series, "Fractions in the Kitchen", "Algebra in the Kitchen"
and "Word Problems in the Kitchen", the author builds children's algebra shills
by solving problems related to kitchen activities. These series provide an
excellent opportunity for parents to help their children learn algebra with
their hands, and to build closer relationships with their children by working
together to solve the challenging algebra problems presented in the series.
Children will also see how math and algebra are used in many of life's
activities outside the classroom.
